The Cambridge Technical is aimed at students who are keen to focus more on practical work and independent research rather than extended prose writing.  Students aiming to pursue careers in Media industries would also be best suited to this course. There are 3 options offered at both Level 2 and 3, of ascending difficulty.

The Technical Certificate is comprised of one big research project and one practical production, in either Print or Video. A basic introduction to Media Production and industries.

The Extended Certificate adds a major practical production (or two) to the certificate, which you will need to complete in a very professional way - including risk assessments, budgets, timescales, et cetera.

The full Diploma is best suited to very motivated, organised students who will be able to work independently a large chunk of the time. It will also be important that you are able to teach yourself technical and software skills through the available tutorials.
